Licensed in NJ & PA. Clinical Supervisor Certification.

Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor who has been working in the mental health field since 2014. I have years of experience working in inpatient hospitalization (IP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and Outpatient treatment (OP).

We started Golden Lens Counseling to create a safe and compassionate environment for clients to feel heard. I believe the therapeutic relationship is so important to help build trust and comfort. I like to focus on getting to know each client and their expectations, preferences, and focus for therapy.

I use a variety of different approaches including support for navigating day-to-day stressors, processing thoughts and emotions from past experiences and relationships, examining upbringing and different family dynamics, psychoanalyzing different conscious/unconscious thoughts and or behaviors, providing psychoeducation on diagnoses, treatments, and coping skills. I am a very warm and empathetic person who also like to use some humor in sessions!

When I’m not in sessions, I am likely somewhere with my golden retriever, Paige, who occasionally makes an appearance on screen. I always welcome pets! I love getting to know more about each person, their interests, and passions, and am always happy to take a minute to catch up on any great tv shows, movies, books, concerts, vacations, or sporting events!

Brian Tamburello, MS, LPC

Brian’s specialties; adults, men’s mental health, first responders, veterans, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety.

Licensed in NJ.

I have been working in the mental health field since 2012. I began my career working in a psychiatric inpatient hospital where I was exposed to various mood disorders and crisis management. Next, I began working in PHP/IOP programs with various populations including Young Adult, Dual Diagnosis, and Men's Trauma. I found my passion for working with and running therapy for Men's mental health and trauma-related difficulties. I have experience in helping veterans and first responders process events from their careers and help with adjusting back to life as a civilian.

Mental health is health. It is a human experience and feelings are universal. I believe that everyone is trying their best with the information they have. The events, situations, and trauma you have been through, do not have to define you. I'm here to help you reduce the suffering attached to those memories and empower you.

I hope to help you grow to be more patient, self-compassionate and more assertive in your approach to self-care. The behaviors that have helped you survive to this point may no longer serve you, so let's collaborate in shaping some healthier behaviors.

When I am not in sessions, I am likely playing or listening to music, attending a concert, traveling with friends and family, or at a sporting event. I enjoy getting to know all my clients and like to bring some humor, warmth, and affirmation into sessions.
